Honest Watcher of Realms Review

I get why people leave after the tutorial, two singles is pretty weak compared to other games. The beginning is slow but I’ve stuck with it. You basically save up for banners you want and grind out pulls from events and dailies. It takes time to build up your account. Some gachas throw multi-pulls at you right away but the ones that start slow sometimes have better F2P setups long-term. At least that’s been my experience.

I’ve been going for 100% in both games. WotR grabbed me way more than Arknights ever did, maybe because of how the art looks on screen. Getting every unit feels more satisfying here. The character models are really well done, I want them in my roster because they look good, not just for completion.

Yeah both have typical gacha monetization but the WotR devs hang out on Discord and actually make changes when people ask. They added some QoL stuff for tracking collections. Still grindy but not as rough as other collection-heavy gachas. That’s my take after spending way too much time on these games.

For me, WoRs been decent value. The combat lets low-rarity units work if you plan your comps and positioning, so Im not chasing every banner.

Three months in, playing pretty casual, Ive cleared most stuff with A-ranks and some patience. It leans more brain than wallet vs a lot of gachas. Rates are 0.45%. Events and dailies give enough pulls that I hit an S-rank roughly every 6-8 weeks F2P. Arknights is still kinder with freebies. If you want constant new shinies, this might feel slow.

You get some other energy bonuses, but you can stack some of them up for longer sessions. In general, though, yeah, you can clear out your dailies in two short stints a day.

I’m… actually a little surprised.

I’m mid-game now and unless it dries up later, the pull economy is actually better than I expected. I picked up a couple of new heroes, including Hex, in today’s rate-up.

This is currently the gacha that I make sure I clear the dailies on. It’s also the one I spent the least on.

Hey everyone, quit about 8 months ago and just came back. Not much changed tbh. dropped 400 during that x10 banner trying for one copy, got nothing. remembered real quick why I quit.

People are still grinding the same stages endlessly, the phone was on fire after 4 hours yesterday. maybe 2 pieces of gear worth keeping. Stamina system still sucks. Rates too, watched someone hit pity 5 times without the featured unit. 180 per legendary pull if you’re unlucky, and you probably get some bottom-tier garbage. Wanted Vierna but after 800+ pulls I’m sitting here with maxed D-tiers lol. Welcome back, pulls lasted 30 seconds. Other games would give you something decent at least, but you need thousands here to build anything competitive.

I can’t pin down the right reroll picks because the meta changes a lot. I lean toward getting one strong AOE carry, but I’ve also seen people regret skipping key supports. If you skipped rerolls, how rough was the early game? Would you do it the same way again?

2 months into WoR as F2P. it’s alright  free currency flow is better than most tower defense gachas I’ve played, though the rates still suck. Managing fine with B and A units for now. Game doesn’t pressure you to pull constantly, which I appreciate  probably helps that I came from way worse Korean gachas that barely give you anything.

F2P tower defense mechanics are solid enough that the bad S-rank rates don’t bother me too much. not saying it’s great but it works.

Arknights or PtN is probably better but both entirely single player.
